What’s the difference between CHEMEYA and other dating events & services?

Led by a seasoned expert with a decade of experience spanning matchmaking to product design, Chemeya Dating was born out of a keen understanding of the dating landscape's shortcomings. Unlike typical dating events, ours are curated by matchmakers and strictly by invitation, guaranteeing quality, relationship-ready matches and a playful, time-saving experience.

Chemeya events are not just gatherings; they are immersive experiences that engage all your senses. So is it speed dating, or a mixer?

All of the above, and more. Seamlessly blending the excitement of speed dating with the laid-back charm of a game night at a friend's house, we manage to capture the organic feeling of spontaneously meeting someone on a night out. It's a fresh take on dating – structured yet casual, offering a unique and memorable experience for those looking to connect in a dynamic setting.

What can I expect at a guest?

Picture a vibrant venue filled with laughter, where attendees rotate through curated activities that spark connections. It's the perfect fusion of structured introductions, casual mingling, and the thrill of discovering chemistry in unexpected moments.


You’ll connect with 5-10 potential matches one-on-one. Each event has its unique vibe – some leaning into curated speed dating, others transforming into lively soirees with music or entertainment. Your invite will spill all the juicy details on what's included in your ticket fee.


For our Maestro or Alchemist Tiers, we ensure there's at least one person who reasonably aligns with your priorities, plus a few delightful surprises thrown in the mix. Get ready for a night of smart, sexy fun!


Can I find a calendar of events?

As our events are private and by invitation only, we do not have a publically accessible calendar, nor do we have a generalized email list in place.


To score an invite, you’ll need to go through

an application process. This ensures you meet carefully selected matches, weeding out those who aren't serious about dating.

How often will I get invited?

Approved members are guaranteed an invitation to at least one event, where the magic of connections awaits. As there are no further guarantees, we recommend prioritizing attendance when invited. Prompt RSVPs ensure you maintain good membership standing and will continue to be considered for ongoing invitations.


Please note, no one is entitled to a membership with us. Membership is application and approval-based and we may elect not to proceed if we do not feel that this is a strong mutual fit.

Where are events located?

Why limit yourself to the familiar? Our curated singles parties span California and pop up in cities across the US. Our events are a magnetic affair, not just another night at the local watering hole. With members gracing every neighborhood, we often seek the allure of central locations. LA, get ready to explore events from Venice to Atwater Village. Bay Area, your future boo might be in San Francisco or Palo Alto, so keep an open mind. It's an opportunity to rendezvous with extraordinary souls beyond your app's grasp, discovering new venues and neighborhoods in your metro. Break free from geographical constraints –and embrace the adventure.

Why is there a fee to be eligible?

Unlike classic speed dating events where anyone can attend, ours are exclusively by invitation with a carefully curated guest list. The verification fee is a one-time payment that initiates the curation process, supporting us in screening members, securing entertainment, and crafting a unique experience. You're only responsible for your initial application fee and any event tickets you choose to attend; there are no monthly fees involved.

We aim to foster connections that align with your relationship goals and priorities, considering character, shared attraction, and sense of humor in our matching process. Our approach focuses on innate character traits and personality compatibility that encompass the here and now rather than future life goals.


While events matching doesn’t offer quite the same level of specificity as one-on-one matchmakers due to our affordable pricing and larger volume, we get pretty damn close to the same quality as many professional matchmaking services charging upwards of $1K per match.

Do I have to be a member?

Despite our exclusive aura, we pride ourselves on being incredibly welcoming. Our events are open to those who appreciate a blend of sophistication and fun. Whether you're a seasoned socialite or attending your first event, you'll find a community that values your uniqueness and celebrates the joy of connecting with others.


For a guaranteed invitation, you will need membership approval. There are no monthly fees.

What does each event cost?

We aim to be as accessible and affordable as possible, given the human matchmaking that goes into each event. Our members-only pricing starts at $50/event if no refreshments are included and $75+ for events that includes drinks, or special activities.


You'll go on 5-10 dates for the time, effort and cost it takes to go on one date, or one night out with friends.

What is the age range?

Most of our applicants are in their 20s & 30's, but anyone 21+ can apply for the Explore Tier. We curate introductions by member preferences, including things like age-appropriate matches. We expect all guests to be open to matches 5 years older and younger than themselves, no exceptions. If you'd like to stretch your range beyond that, please state your preferences on your intake form.

What is your success rate?

We measure success in 3 ways. First and foremost, we always want the event to be fun and a good use of your time. (100% success rate). 2. There’s at least one person there who you feel reasonably fits the kind of person you'd want to date (90% success rate). 3. You leave having found at least one connection you'd like to explore further (85% success rate).

Do you host LGBTQIA+ events?

We host LGBTQ events quarterly. As they don't happen as regularly, membership payment is not a prerequisite of eligibility. To express interest in our LGBTQ events, apply here. As interest grows, so will our regularity in hosting more Queer events.

What is your refund policy?

Your one-time Tier fee & initial event ticket is completely non-refundable, no exceptions.


If you pay a Tier fee before you've been approved and we decide not to move forward with your application, you will be notified via email and refunded.


If you need to cancel your RSVP to a subsequent event, your ticket price becomes credit towards a future event as long as you let us know at least 7 days in advance.


If the event is less than 7 days away, the ticket fee is completely non-refundable. No exceptions.
